Are you taking any type of birth control pill? Some oral contraceptives can cause changes in your menstrual period. Being sexually active does not cause a change in length and amount of bleeding. If you were pregnant, you would not be having a period. I suggest you make an appointment with your doctor or a health clinic to determine the cause of these changes.
