Hi,
Missing a dose of birth control and having unprotected sex during this time period can increase your risk of getting pregnant, especially if those missed days coincided with the time you ovulated, Ovulation, as you may already know, is when an egg is released from an ovary. An egg lives 12 to 24 hours after leaving the ovary. If you have unprotected sex during this period, the egg is fertilized and you are pregnant.
Stress, especially during exam week, can cause a delay in your period along with symptoms of intestinal upset, such as bloating and cramping.
You can wait and see if you get your period. If you don't in the next few days, you could take a home pregnancy test.
