Hi,
Has the cause of the low testosterone level been identified? Did you have low testosterone levels before your hysterectomy? With advanced age, testosterone levels normally decline. Surgical removal of both ovaries and premature ovarian failure lead to decreased levels of testosterone. Were your ovaries removed when you had the hysterectomy? The fluctuations and decline in estrogen and progesterone levels associated with perimenopause are responsible to the symptoms of hot flashes, both day and night, irritability, weight gain and sleep disturbances. There are options for managing these symptoms. Some women choose hormone replacement therapy, others choose lifestyle changes. Here are links to articles which may give you some information on options.
