Hi,
This does not sound normal. Please call your gynecologist or re-visit the clinic where the abortion was performed. The following information is from the website, WebMD, " In most cases, periods return four to six weeks after a first-trimester abortion or miscarriage. However, women with a history of irregular periods may require up to 12 weeks. The first post-abortion period is typically either light or normal in duration and flow. If it is heavy, you should perform a home pregnancy test to ensure that no pregnancy-related tissues remain in your uterus. By one month after a miscarriage or abortion, a home pregnancy test should register negative. If the test is positive, or if the flow is particularly intense, call your physician immediately. A sonogram can be performed to determine both the thickness of the uterine lining and detect the presence of any residual tissue."
