Spotting while on the active pills is very common in the first cycle of pills or if pills are missed or taken late. Usually, spotting improves as you continue additional cycles of pills and should not be occurring by the end of the third cycle.
I am concerned that you have experienced spotting for the first time during your fourth cycle of pills.
