When did you take the emergency contraceptive pill?
After you have taken the pill, your next period may come sooner or later than normal. Most women will get their period within 7 days of the expected period date. Your period may be heavier, lighter or more spotty than normal.
If you do not get your period in 3 weeks following taking the pill get a pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant.
Some women experience side effects, such as feeling sick and having headaches, lower stomach cramping, breast tenderness and fatigue. These side effects do not indicated if the pill worked or did not work.
