Hello Anonymous,
I urge you to contact your personal physician. Report everything that you have experienced, what the ultrasound showed and what the physician in Denver told you. Tell your doctor that Misoprostol was prescribed and that you took 2 doses of Misoprostol.

Misoprostol is used to prevent ulcers in people who take certain arthritis or pain medications, including aspirin, that can cause ulcers.

Sometimes it is used to induce labor, complete an incomplete miscarriage, start labor in a second trimester and third trimester abortion and dilate the cervix before a surgical abortion procedure. It is used to soften the cervix to induce labor and for special gynecologic tests.

Misoprostol is more effective when used in combination with methotrexate or mifepristone than when used alone. This is an unlabeled use of misoprostol.

Normally, taking misoprostol to terminate a pregnancy causes the symptoms similar to a miscarriage, such as severe cramping and vaginal bleeding as the tissue and clots pass from the uterus.

Women administered vaginal misoprostol are more likely to achieve the results of vaginally passing the products of conception within 24 hours. The results take longer for women administered oral misoprostol. A low dose of misoprostol is associated with the increased chance that it will take longer than 24 hours to get results.

Again, talk with your personal physician right away.
