Guide

Hi,
You did waste a pregnancy test. The manufacturers of Next Choice say that if your period is more than one week late, you may be pregnant. That is when you should test for pregnancy.

You are having your period so you are not pregnant.

I am not qualified to recommend a particular contraceptive that is the best. You need to research the different types, look at the positive effects and the potential side effects and chose the one that is best for you.

Some women find it difficult to remember to take an oral contraceptive every day, at the same time each day. For those women, the Depo-Provera shot, which lasts for 3 months, to be an effective and convenient form of birth control. Cost is another factor to consider. Do you have health insurance? Does your policy cover birth control? You may find some helpful information on this website. Use the toolbar at the top of the page to search for information on birth control.

Best regards,
Maryann
