Guide

Hello Anonymous,

It is possible that you and your partner were not properly lubricated during the second attempt at anal sex. Or, your partner was too aggressive the first time and caused irritation to your anus.

Anatomically, the anus is designed to expel feces and not accept things, such as a penis.

If you continue to have pain and notice rectal bleeding, please consult your physician. This would indicate a small tear in the lining of the anus. A rare, but serious, complication after anal sex is a perforation or hole in the colon. This condition will usually cause fever and severe pain and pressure in the abdomen.

While you continue to have discomfort, I suggest you avoid having anal sex.
