Hello Anonymous,
I suspect that you were bitten by a spider and are having a localized reaction.
Try applying an ice pack to the bite for 15 to 20 minutes once an hour. When not using ice, keep a cool, wet cloth on the bite. Always keep a cloth between your skin and the ice pack. Do not apply ice for longer than 15 to 20 minutes at a time, and do not fall asleep with the ice on your skin.
This first aid tip is usually recommended for the first 6 hours following the bite. But, you could give it a try.
An antihistamine, such as Benadryl, taken by mouth may help relieve the redness and swelling. Do not take a antihistamine if you have any medical conditions that contraindicate taking this type of medication.
If you develop a fever, the lesion increases in size or you notice a white center in the lesion, consult your physician.
