I can relate. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. My family and I had barely recovered from a crisis that strongly impacted each of us, when I got the news that there was a softball size mass on the frontal lobe of my brain. Multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy... as you said, "I am alive!"
I don't know who first said it, but that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
