Guide

Hello helen-duhh,

It is difficult to say. Some women experience changes in their menstrual cycle as a side effect of taking Plan B. These changes present as a period starting earlier or later than normal. Menstrual flow can be lighter or heavier than normal. The spotting and cramping starting earlier than expected can be a side effect of taking Plan B.

Conversely, if you were ovulating during the four times that you had unprotected sex, there is a good chance that you could be pregnant.

If your period is late beyond one week, you can take a home pregnancy test. The hormone, hCG, can be detected in urine about 12 to 14 days after conception.

Unfortunately, waiting is the only way to get an answer to your question. Either your period will start or you get a positive result with a pregnancy test.
