Guide

Vitamins fall into two groups, water soluble and fat soluble. In the absence of a vitamin deficiency, the body eliminates the extra vitamin through urine. But, fat soluble vitamins are stored in the body. If a person takes more fat soluble vitamins, such as vitamin A, E, D and K, these vitamins will stay in the body for a long time, stored in fat cells and the liver. The result is an overdose of vitamins that can potentially be fatal.

Multivitamins are not benign and should be taken responsibly.
