Hello chicky1998,

I would like to welcome you to the EmpowHER community. It is not my role to recommend a hormone replacement pellet therapy for you. I can provide you with some important information that I think you should strongly consider.

Hormone replacement pellet therapy uses hormones derived from plant sources. The pellets which are smaller than a grain of rice are fabricated in compounding pharmacies that are not regulated by the FDA. The pellets are inserted in the fatty tissue underneath the skin. The hormone pellet implantation procedure is performed by a physician in a medical office.

You might find this article by "Buyer Beware: "Bioidentical Hormone Myths" Lauren Streicher, MD informative.
http://www.doctoroz.com/blog/lauren-streicher-md/buyer-beware-bioidentic...

Quoting the website of BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina, "Hormone pellet implantation is considered investigational for hormone replacement therapy in women.
BCBSNC does not provide coverage for investigational services or procedures."

Chicky1998, talk with your gynecologist first.

Regards,
Maryann
