I can appreciate how confused you must be. I can sympathize with the fact that the regulations of insurance coverage are delaying when you can be seen by an obstetrician.
Anonymous, I wouldn't rule out pregnancy until you have had a blood hCG test and been examined by an obstetrician.
My suggestion is take care of yourself as if you are pregnant. Avoid alcohol, eat healthy and be sure you are getting an adequate daily intake of folic acid.
If you are not pregnant, no harm done. If you are, then you have started doing the right thing for you and your baby.
