An imbalance or disruption in this normal hormonal balance has cause you to bleed heavily for only one day, nothing for two days, then have brown discharge, which indicates old blood.
Contact your gynecologist about this. Blood tests to check hormonal levels, including thyroid levels. may be necessary.
