Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Normally, you should not be having any breast discharge unless you are lactating. Lactation is the secretion of milk from the mammary glands of the breasts.

Two hormones, prolactin and oxytocin, aid in the production of breast milk. Prolactin is produced by the anterior pituitary gland and is released into the circulation. It acts on the human breast to produce milk.

Anonymous, I am wondering if an abnormality in your anterior pituitary gland and the overproduction of prolactin may be causing the white discharge from your breast.

Regards,
Maryann
