Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community and thank you for seeking our advice regarding your very irregular menstrual cycle.

I suggest you speak with your parent and schedule an appointment with your pediatrician.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a delicate balance of hormones. Any abnormalities or imbalances can cause irregularities.

Disorders of the thyroid gland can cause menstrual irregularities if the levels of thyroid hormone in the blood become too low or too high.

Another possible cause is polycystic ovary syndrome, which is a condition resulting from an imbalance of female sex hormones. This may lead to changes in the menstrual cycle.

Your physician can examine you , take a medical history, and order blood test to make a diagnosis.

Please keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
