Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us for help.

Utovlan, which is marketed in the U.K., contains a synthetic
progestin called norethisterone. According to the package insert, when used to delay a period, you take one tablet three times a day. You begin taking the pill three days before your period is due to start. Your period will start within three days of finishing the tablets.

The morning after pill contains a high dose of levonorgestrel, which is also a synthetic form of progestin.

Anonymous, you have given your body an over dose of progestin and seriously upset the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. I suggest you consult the physician who prescribed Utovlan. Your physician is better able to give you guidance regarding when your period will start.

Regards,
Maryann
