Welcome to the EmpowHER community and thank you for coming to us with your questions and concerns.
There was no risk of pregnancy if you had intercourse while still having your period and it was not necessary to take Plan B.
The pill was effective because you bleed a week after taking it and the bleeding lasted about 4 days.
Nausea, diarrhea, or stomach pain, along with dizziness and fatigue, headache, breast tenderness or pain, and menstrual cycle changes are less common, but are reported side effects of Plan B.
I don't know how long a woman can expect to experience these side effects. Please contact your gynecologist or primary care physician to report that you are still having these symptoms almost two weeks after taking the pill.
