One way to differentiate implantation bleeding from menstrual flow is by color and amount.
Implantation bleeding is scanty and pink to brown in color. Flow does not increase. It occurs about six to 12 days following conception. It happens after the fertilized egg has implanted itself in the uterus wall.
Some women experience slight cramping.
Having unprotected intercourse, especially during ovulation, leads to conception.
You have two options. Test with an early response pregnancy test, which can be used as early as five days before the expected start of your period or wait until your period is late by at least seven day and test.
