If you had a partial hysterectomy 28 years ago, and are now experiencing symptoms of menopause, it is not because of the surgery but rather the normal course of your reproductive life.

During perimenopause, hormone levels, particularly estrogen, fluctuate and cause changes in the menstrual cycle. Most women begin this phase in their 50s, while some can start in their
late 40s.
