May I ask how old you are? How long have you been menstruating? Up until April, have your menstrual cycles been regular?
The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of four hormones, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estrogen, and progesterone. My first thought leans to an issue with one of these hormones. Depending on your age, the cause could be perimenopause. Another thought is PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome.
