Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Is your physician aware that you are having these symptoms and have not had a period since the end of May? If not, I suggest you contact him or her today.

Why was your FSH level checked?

In general, the test is used to help diagnose or evaluate
menopause, women who have polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian cysts, abnormal vaginal or menstrual bleeding, or problems becoming pregnant, or infertility.

Low FSH levels indicate being very underweight or having had recent rapid weight loss,
not producing eggs or not ovulating, the pituitary gland or hypothalamus are not producing normal amounts of some or all of its hormones or pregnancy.

Anonymous, speak with your doctor, who can tell you how a low FSH level relates to you and why you feeling as you are. One call can give you peace of mind and hopefully reduce your anxiety levels.

Regards,
Maryann
