Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us for advice regarding your symptoms of feeling tired, depressed and having no sex drive.

As you know, the symptoms associated with menopause are directly linked to the fluctuations and eventual decrease in estrogen and progesterone levels. Hormone replacement therapy is one treatment options and the one you are currently taking.

Have you had a complete physical with blood tests lately? I am wondering if hypothyroidism, which is an under activity thyroid gland, might be the reason you feel tired, depressed and no sex drive. A thyroid level function test can rule this out.

Have you suffered with depression in the past? A person who is depressed with feel tired and have no interest in sex as well as other activities she once enjoyed.

Approaching the fatigue and depression as two separate entities may shed some light on how you are feeling. Consider talking with your physician about this.

Regards,
Maryann
