Guide

Hello chuckygtn,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern about possible pregnancy and persistent abdominal pain.

Unprotected sexual intercourse carries the risk for becoming pregnant. If you have had a normal menstrual period in July and August, then you are not pregnant.

A bigger concern is the persistent abdominal pain, knee pain and lower back pain, as well as the need to urinate frequently. These are not typical symptoms or signs of early pregnancy.

Please schedule an appointment with your primary care physician, who knows your medical history and can do a physical exam with any necessary blood tests or imaging studies, like an ultrasound or MRI to determine the cause of your symptoms.

Regards,
Maryann
