Rough fingering could be the reason for the vaginal bleeding, and possibly the cramping.
Do you usually have cramping the week before your period? If not, then this is concerning.
Anonymous, if the bleeding continues, please call and report this with either your gynecologist or primary care physician. My concern is tears or irritation of the cervical lining.
