Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad that you reached out to us with your concern about changes in your menstrual cycle and the possibility for pregnancy.

You are definitely not pregnant.

You must schedule an appointment with a gynecologist. Prolonged heavy menstrual bleeding is serious and can cause iron deficiency anemia.

Basically, the menstrual cycle is regulated by four hormones. Each hormone plays a specific role in when you start your period. You will have an irregular menstrual cycle and changes in menstrual flow if there is an imbalance or problem with one or more of these hormones.

A gynecologist can do blood tests to check your hormone levels and blood cell count to make sure that you are not anemic. The torture will end and your stress levels drop once you are seen
and get a reason for these changes.

Please keep us updated.
