Your physicians should have diagnosed the cause. Did either tell you what is causing your persistent symptoms? If you are not getting relief, maybe the wrong medications have been prescribed.
A diagnosis can be tricky even for an experienced doctor. Part of the problem is that you could have more than one at the same time.
The mos common causes include bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, sexually transmitted diseases including chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis, and viral vaginitis.
The Cervireal HPV E6/E& test is used to detect HPV or human papilloma virus.
If you have a bacterial infection, antibiotic treatment is recommended. You treat non-infectious vaginitis by dealing with the probable cause.
Do you have a history of urinary tract infections or bladder infections? A culture should be done to determine the bacteria that is causing the infection.
Has either physician done a culture of the vaginal discharge or used a swab to culture your vagina?
