Birth controll pills are a daily pills that contains hormones to prevent pregnancy. The pill stops ovulation (the release of an egg). Birth control pills come in 28 or 21 day packs. Most commonly there are 3 weeks of hormone pills and 1 week of sugar (non-hormone) pills which is to allow for your menstrual cycle. You take a pill daily, preferably at the same time.
