Basically, a face wash is a foaming cleanser while a facial cleanser is non-foaming. It doesn’t have to be washed off, but is wiped off.

A cleanser dissolves away excess oil, makeup and grime from your face. A face wash cleanses deeply. Its foaming action cleanses pores.
