Are you missing active pills or inactive pills? How long have you been on the pill?
Birth control pills prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation. A daily dose taken at the same time each day keeps your hormone levels constant so you do not ovulate. While on birth control you don't have a period but withdrawal bleeding.
