Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community with your question about becoming pregnant.

Your vagina is inside of your body. It connects the uterus to the outside of your body. The vulva and labia form the entrance, and the cervix of the uterus protrudes into the vagina, forming the interior end.

Anonymous, did your boyfriend ejaculate outside of your body?

Sperm are strong swimmers. There is always a chance that some can travel from the outside of your body inside and into your vagina. It only takes one sperm to fertilize one egg and cause a pregnancy.

If this happened 15 days before your period is due to start, and is the middle of your menstrual cycle, there was a good chance that you could have or been close to ovulation.

All that you can do now is wait for your period to start. If you are late by at least one week, take a pregnancy test. If you are anxious, test with an early response pregnancy test about five days before your period is due. Keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
