By the time you had unprotected sex, a day or two before your period was due to start, ovulation should have already happened and you should not have been at risk for becoming pregnant.
However, a pregnancy test is the way to confirm this. You can wait a few more days and see if your period starts. Or, take an early response pregnancy test tomorrow morning. For the most accurate result, test with the urine when you first use the bathroom.
