Semen and pre ejaculate fluid are not the same.
Semen contains sperm. It is released during ejaculation. Pre ejaculat4e fluid itself does not contain sperm. It is released during sexual arousal.
In your case, there was no sperm in your partner's pre ejaculate fluid.
You were not at any risk for becoming pregnant.
