Guide

Hello ayeshanahid,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am glad you reached out to us with your question.

Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. If a male has had a recent ejaculation, sperm remains in his urethra. That is a tube that both semen and urine pass through.

Once he urinates, sperm is flushed out. In your case, there was no chance of sperm in your boyfriend's pre ejaculate fluid.

Without penetration of his penis into your vagina, and ejaculation of semen, there was no risk of becoming pregnant.

Be aware that taking an emergency contraceptive can cause changes in your menstrual cycle. Your next period could start earlier or later than expected. Flow might be lighter or heavier than normal.

Now would be a good time to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist.
You are just a step away from sexual intercourse and should be starting to use some type of birth control.

Regards,
Maryann
