2 1/2 year old with chronic lung disease due to extreme prematurity at birth, experiencing possible roseola. Any cautions we should be aware of ? He developed the rash prior to fever. Last evening fever was 102.5 F... watery eyes and running nose ...

enlarged lymph node on right side of neck. Rash is pinpointed, raised, no white centers or pustules, most of rash was on legs, arms first. Now, rash is appearing on truck, buttocks, and chest. Fever does respond to Children's Ibuprofen.
We are trying to keep him well hydrated, however, his appetite is markedly reduced. I have encouraged my daughter to try pudding and jello, since little one keeps saying his throat hurts. He also says that the rash hurts when we gently touch it...
Any additional advice ... would be appreciated.
