Q:

5 days late but positive I can't be pregnant. Any ideas?

My cycles are the normal 28 days with a slight variation every so often but not common. Last month I had my period on day 28 but it only lasted 3 days when I'm usually a 5 to 7 day. Well now this month it's now day 33 in my cycle and no period.
I had sex two days before my 3 day period but he did not finish in me, yes I know you can still get pregnant that way but as I had my 3 day perod after that I assume that settles that matter. My husband is now out of the country for work so I have not had sex since then.

I have no cramps. I have a dull aching headache for 3 days now and constipation. Any thoughts or suggestions to get this period going or clues to why it's not here?
I've not felt added stress, no change in diet I'm just baffled.

Hey Laura,

Are you taking just B12, or all the B vitamins together?

The B12 supplement might indeed be having an effect on your cycle. How much are you taking? Do you have a deficiency? Because most of the research I found suggested that Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to irregular or more symptomatic cycles, though that doesn't seem to be the case with you.

How old are you? Is it possible that you are entering perimenopause (which could also be called The Land Of Irregularity!)?

Alright so negative on the test and still no period 7 days now.
I just had a thought though, ice been taking a b12 suppliment, can that cause a late or missed period?

Laura,

Have you done a home pregnancy test? Getting your period does not necessarily rule out pregnancy. Some women have implantation bleeding-- which is a light, shorter period or spotting that occurs when the egg is implanting itself to the lining of your uterus. Other women, who are pregnant, still get their period in the beginning of pregnancy.

I would take a pregnancy test and go from there.

Keep us posted!

I bought a hpt and will take it in the morning.
The 3 day period was unusually heavy and not light at all.
