after a ultrasound i was told i have nodules and cysts on my thyroid.

I have a number of symptoms which started over 4 years ago but are now getting worse which are symptoms of hypothyroidism. But blood tests show normal thyroid function. I'm waiting for a endocrinology appointment. I am really fed up with struggling on a day to day basis. Would something as simple as thyroxin help me feel better. Thankyou
