I'm only 14 and have never had sex. The thing is i was fingered (poked) about 2 weeks ago by my boyfriend, i was supposed to start my period a week ago.. and i'm scared i might be pregnant because about 4 days ago i started to have brownish discharge, could this be implantation blood ? Also, i think he might of had his hand in his boxers before her poked me, but surley the sperm on his hand would have died if they had been exposed to the open air ? I cant talk to my mum about stuff like this, she is what you call ' extreamly strick' and would NOT aprove of me doing this with my boyfriend .. Please help, i am so scared.

It is so unlikely that you could possibly be pregnant from not having sex, and being fingered by your boyfriend who did not even ejaculate.

There is the slightest possibility that he could have had some "pre-cum"-containing sperm on his hand, and as Rosa said, sperm can live outside of the body for a small amount of time. But this scenario would be extreme and very unlikely.

The brown discharge you experienced was not implantation bleeding, as it takes 10-14 days after intercourse for the fertilized egg to implant.

The brown discharge you experienced after your sexual encounter was most likely from blood vessels that were broken during fingering (this is not dangerous, and does not cause harm). It is common that a finger poke or fingernail could cause some slight bleeding, and if this small amount of blood came out with some vaginal discharge, then it would have a tint of brown to it.

There does not seem to be any evidence that you should be worrying about pregnancy. If you have missed your period, you can take a home pregnancy test to rule that out as a factor.

When are you expecting your period?

If you want to put your mind at ease, a home pregnancy test can be taken anywhere, done in a few minutes, and is only about $12-$15, available at any grocery or drug store.

There are many reasons for a late period, beyond pregnancy, so hang in there!

Do you have a doctor you can call, if you prefer not to take a home pregnancy test, and if your period does not start?

Well, i'm hoping that my period is just late because the change in my diet, and that i've been exercising more than usuall, and maybe its delayed because i've been stressing about being pregnant, is that possible ?
Not really a doctor i could phone, i might go to a friends house and do it there, also that will give me some support.

thanks

Women's cycles can change for any number of reasons, sometime for no "apparent" reason. So, a change in exercise could be a factor. Other factors can be excess stress, recent illness or new medication. Change in diet most likely would not cause a period to be late, unless the change(s) are extreme and sudden.

Let us know if you decide to take the home pregnancy test at your friend's house, and we're here to support you either way!

Absolutely. Pregnancy tests are sold at dollar stores, target, drug stores, etc. There is no age requirement to buy one and although I'm hopeful that there was no viable sperm on his hand it is always better to be safe and test. It will give you peace of mind. Keep us posted.

JaJaJam,

Help me understand this better-- your boyfriend fingered you with sperm on his hand? If that is the case then of course there is a possibility of pregnancy. In order to get pregnant, sperm needs to be able to travel up your vaginal canal and fertilize your egg.

Normally, fingering itself will not cause pregnancy because there is no sperm involved. Sperm, believe it or not, does not die immediately in the presence of oxygen. It requires a warm environment to stay alive but will most likely survive for about an hour after ejaculation. If your boyfriend wiped or washed his hands after ejaculation then you should be ok. At this point, since you are a week late buying a pregnancy test is the best way to find out if you are pregnant or not.

Good Luck!
