I'm having something similar. I'm not sure if it's all in my head or not. I've had cramping for a week now and lots of discharge. About 2 weeks ago is when I should've ovulated and I had two small blood clots the size of rice krispies. I now have sore tingling nipple's as of yesterday and I'm still cramping. And i do have acne. Negative tests though. Can somebody give some advice.

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Some women have bleeding during ovulation, which occurs about midway between periods. Menstrual bleeding (a period) happens during the second drop in estrogen. In some women, the first estrogen drop appears to trigger bleeding, too, which is mid-cycle bleeding.

Since yours happen during the time you indicated as your ovulation time, and you have a negative pregnancy test, you can trust the test.

As a rule, it's always good to check with your doctor to make sure that the bleeding isn't being caused by something else.

I hope this helps,

Be well,
