had an e.d. for 9 years, i've been recovered for ~2yrs. age 23. i take stimulant medication for previously undiagnosed adhd. the medication also helped me recover by silencing the irrational eating disorder. but now i've begun to feel 'fat' again and i can't see myself normally at all. it was slow to come on and i didn't even notice it. i don't know what to do. i don't want help because i'm not really back in it i don't think. i just want to avoid a relapse. what should i do? thank you for your input, i really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. It may be important to you to stay in treatment for a long period of time since you had the ED for a long period of time. I think if you are having issues "thinking" that you are fat - it is more psychological at this point for you to be comfortable in your own skin. Since you already had treatment, do you seek follow up or possibly join a support group?

Keep us posted.
