Have Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Currently using Enbrel. Arthritis is severe. Also use hydrocodone for break through pain. Have terrible itching back of head at just above neck and under breasts. Thrilled to have found this website. Any ideas to help itching? Thank you!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.
Enbrel is well-received by patients, as is Remicade (infliximab) and Stelara.

However, hydrocodone itself can cause maddening itching so tapering off if possible is ideal. Can you tell if the hydrocodone is causing the itch or the psoriasis? Can you tell the difference?

Thanks for responding. Reminded-no good, Stellera-no good, Enbrel-still deciding. Has increased psoriasis. My problem is psoriatic arthritis. Thus the pain meds. No, I can not tell if itching is from hydrocodone. Have spoken to my doctor and she said I would have had a reaction way sooner. I usually itch over daily, certain spots at a time, at different times of day, everyday. Sometimes from itching, sweats at night. My situation has never been straightforward since I had to stop taking Methotrexate about fifteen years ago due tremendous stomach constant upset/ nausea. It was intolerable. Still waiting to see with Enbrel has I have has several infections and had to stop. Do not feel well everyday. The fatigue is the worst of all. Very discouraged right now. Thanks for answering.
