My last period was on october 26. About two weeks later I started feeling crampy on my left side. I have a 28 day cycle. I should have started my AF on November 22. On November 24 I started bleeding brown and had horrible cramps so bad I had to leave work and went to the ER. ER couldn't find anything wrong and said maybe my doctor needs to test endometriosis. Well the bleeding got really light and got to point only could see on tp. One time I spotted light pink that turned back to brown. This spotting lasted about four days. This is not normal for me I always have a dark red AF. I only ever had just brown discharge a week before I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I thought it was just a strange period. I took a hpt today and was negative. Since I'm not pregnant could this be a sign of endometriosis? I am still crampy and boobs hurt...

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Endometriosis is definitely a possibility. However you need to have a pap smear/pelvic exam in order to rule out any other possible causes. Brown discharge is not necessarily a sign of anything serious, because this can happen at any time during a menstrual cycle. The most concerning thing is the cramping.
Doctors will often prescribe birth control pills without doing any examination. I highly suggest that your doctor do an examination before giving any treatment.
