Hi Anonymous-

I'm glad you've made it through surgery okay. The answer to your question is a resounding YES! Absolutely. People with all sorts of health issues and disabilities lead happily married lives. I personally have rheumatoid arthritis which makes my every day life difficult at times but I have a husband who helps with things I can't do and we are still happy together.

Each person brings different strengths and weaknesses to a relationship. I can't always open cans, but I'm a great listener. You have give and take, strengths and weaknesses, and love to make things work.

You may be going through a hard time now, and heart surgery patients often suffer some depression for reasons not completely known. But you can have a happy and full life, including marriage.

We have information on heart valve conditions. I suggest you read through other people's questions. You will see that many of them are in relationships. Maybe it will give you some hope. https://www.empowher.com/condition/heart-valve-conditions

Good luck to you.
