Anon,

This depends on a lot of things -- how the surgery went, how your incision(s) are healing, and whether you have any other health issues that you are working on with your doctor.

What does your doctor tell you about when you could return to normal activity?

Did you have a laparoscopy or a larger incision?

Are you using fertility methods to try and become pregnant?

you can still get pregnant. one of my ovaries was surgically removed when i was 17. i got married at 25 with only one ovary. am now 36 with three beautiful kids. so, don't be discourage. you still can have children.

Hi I am nineteen and i had cysts on my ovaries my doc put me on the pill hoping for it to go away or even make smaller but got larger and before my set date of my operation it burst and said i was lucky never affected my other organs. The doctor said i must remain on the pill Mercilon to regular my cycle. It is every girls dream to have children one day and would like to know if i can still have children.Obviously not now but in the future. Thanx

If you still have one of your ovaries, then it is possible that you can still ovulate and become pregnant when you are ready. You would need to speak with your doctor about any medical conditions, but many women are able to have children with "only" one ovary if they choose. (I'm sure you know that it is not "every" girl's or woman's dream to have children, just as a side note!)
