I'm 17 years old, ive been with my boyfriend for 3 years on and off mostly on, and since about six months into our relationship we stopped using condoms and also elliminated the pull out method... and i have hardly missed a period. a few have been super light and others have been super late, but ive always had my period every month. Why would i not have gotten pregnant by now?

You are 17 and trying to get pregnant? Are you OK with that?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Are you looking to get pregnant.  If not it's important to use protection especially being young.  To help against an unwanted pregnancy or STD's.  Most of the time, irregular periods are part of the normal changes that can happen when you're a teen. At some point as you get older, your cycle will probably settle into a pattern.

Best,

Daisy
