Can a person get shingles more than once??

For the most part, it is unlikely to get shingles more than once. Occasionally a person will get shingles twice in their lifetime, but rarely more. Most times, people only acquire shingles one time. Having shingles allows your body to build up antibodies to fight against it, which is why a recurrence is unlikely.
