My father is of age 50. He has chest pain every time he walks fast.He even has consulted many doctors and took medicines as prescribed but problem is , pain always increases after the medicines. So i wanted to ask , will it be okay it does not get any treatment. Pain slows down after resting a while . Other than the medicines , What food , exercises and other daily routines should he change?

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Chest pain is very serious and should not be ignored. Make sure to be persistent with any medical professional you see regarding this manner. See if additional investigative test can be ordered to find the cause.

In the meantime, it is a good idea to have your father stop exercising altogether, walk slower or find another low impact cardio activity like swimming.

I hope this helps.
