Could I be pregnant?

Hi I am on birth control (for about 2 years) and I am terrible with taking my pills. I have never been pregnant before. I have a new sexual partner and we have a lot of sex and he ejaculates in me every time. ( i know its TMI but i feel it is important to know). This cycle I missed 4 pills and had with drawl bleeding and I took some of the rest of the pills on the packet. ( I did not start a new packet). Now it is time for my period and I am late and only have spotted pink and brown only when I wipe ( I usually bleed a lot more). The spotting is weird because ive never spotted for more than a couple hours before getting my period. I have been spotting for about a day and its only very little, only when i wipe. I have had some pinching sensations and a little cramping. Today I am feeling a little emotional. No food cravings, sore breasts or nausea or anything just a little dizzy at times. Could I be pregnant? what is my spotting ?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  There is no way of knowing if you are pregnant, without taking a pregnancy test or seeing a doctor.  If you missed any days of taking your pills and didn't use any other protection. Your chances for pregnancy are higher. The spotting can be due to many things.  You will need to take a home pregnancy test.

Best,

Daisy
